We have many good and worthwhile programs, worthy of your volunteer time and the time available in your families. 

If you have time to volunteer on committees or within any of our groups we would sure appreciate your joining in.

Remember the American Legion is here for you; the Honorably Serving as well as the Honorable Served. 

We are one of the Veteran Service Organizations whose voices are heard before congress defending those benefits that now exists and fighting for what needs to be added, modified, or dropped.

We need to stand united together to be heard and our numbers can make a difference when the votes are being cast in congress or considered by the executive branch of our government. 

At the grass roots level we make a difference in our communities and promote good citizenship.  We hold elected officials responsible and accountable, for their actions, or failure to act and how they vote on issues of public good, health and welfare of our communities.

It is a good and needful thing to remember those who have supported us in our cause and in our times of need.  So please take a few minuets and thoughtfully remember those who are making a difference in our organization and community and show strong and continuing support for the Legion and its Mission.

If you see some of the officers and volunteers who are behind the scenes doing the work that continues to be always needful an so often taken for granted, please feel free to talk with them and let them know you appreciate them and the work they are doing.

Of course if you feel there is a need to correct something, then also feel free to voice your opinion about that.  Additionally everyone has heard that the wold is full of critics, so if you have a solution to go along with any critical comment, please feel free to share that too.

If it is outside the bounds of the Post level, contact District (use the chain of command where it is available to do so) if it is outside the District, it may not even be in the Legion.  You may have to contact your congressman or senator or councilman.  What ever it is that is bothering you, it is best addressed by someone who has the authority to do something about it. 

It's Best, not to just go around complaining to anyone who will stand still long enough to listen to you.  Just note some things have to go before committees to be heard, discussed and solutions voted on to implement.
